date

02 August 2004

At the ExportInvest Congress recently held in Munich, EBRD awarded Eleonora Marinova from Raiffeisenbank (Bulgaria) as “The most productive Loan officer of 2003” out of 27 banks in 10 countries participating in the EU/EBRD SME Finance Facility.

“We are very pleased with the award that was won by Mrs. Marinova, who is one of our best officers. The award is just one more proof of the excellent selection and first-class training of our employees. For nearly 2 years, with the assistance of EBRD and the European Union, more than 80 Loan Officers have been trained specially for lending to Small and Medium-sized Business”, said Momchil Andreev, Chairman of The Managing Board and Executive director of Raiffeisenbank (Bulgaria).

Raiffeisenbank (Bulgaria) is one of the leading lenders to Small and Medium-sized companies and professionals. Only for the first half of 2004 the credit portfolio of this segment grew by 76% in comparison to 2003
